C3P Software Released AI-Form ISF for Incremental Sheet Forming

【HongKong–6th January, 2022】– C3P Software, a pioneer supplier of CAX & PLM solution for industrial manufacturing processes, we're excited to launch the AI-Form ISF, the first commercial software package for incremental sheet forming (ISF) toolpaths design and simulation in the market today.

ISF is a metal forming process for the manufacturing of complex components in small quantities. In comparison to conventional forming methods complex tools can be dispensed. This reduces tool costs and the time to the first finished part. These advantages predestine incremental sheet metal forming for number of pieces in the range of 1 to 1,000 parts.

AI-FORM ISF includes two software modules, the toolpaths design and process simulation. The AI-FORM ISF Toolpath is a software product designed for the purpose of creating, editing and visualizing ISF toolpaths. It has been integrated into the AI-FORM user’s environment, built a whole chain solution, from the part base analysis, to features evaluation, to ISF toolpaths design, checking and modification, finally to toolpaths export. The SPIF, TPIF and DSIF are supported by AI-FORM ISF software. Z-level design, continue Spiral, multi-features, multi-stages and multi-processes are supported in the toolpaths design software.

AI-FORM ISF Simulation is the twin’s software module as ISF Toolpath. It is based on the AI-Form's FEM solver in the last CAE technology to simulate the ISF process. Many breakthrough technologies have been acquired in the AI-Form ISF simulation package, to reduce the simulation lead time and improve the result accuracy. For example, the virtual multi-tools technologies can speed-up the simulation time in 10 times and maintenance the same level accuracy. The simulation time is kept in hours level when the compared with the tradition simulation method was always in the days level.
